What is Chai?
Chai is a spiced tea traditionally enjoyed in South Asia, particularly in India, where it is known as “Masala Chai.” The word “chai” simply means tea in many languages, but in the Western world, it refers to a spiced tea blend. This drink is made by brewing black tea with a combination of spices and herbs, often with milk and sweetener. It is cherished not only for its rich flavor but also for its health benefits and comforting warmth.

Origin of Chai & interesting fact
Chai originated in India over 5,000 years ago as part of the ancient practice of Ayurveda. The original versions of chai did not contain tea leaves; instead, it was a healing tonic made from various herbs and spices. Over time, as tea became more prevalent in India due to British influence, black tea leaves were added to the traditional spiced blend, creating the chai we know today.
